Everything around the note
The note is the start. Cabinetic handles the work that comes before and after it, in one place.
- Your day, ready
- Upload a screenshot or list of today's appointments, and each patient gets a session linked to their previous notes.
- Dictation
- Dictate letters and notes, tidied or word for word, or dictate straight into the editor.
- Telehealth
- Captures both sides of a video call, from the browser tab it's in.
- Carries on through dropouts
- If the connection drops mid-consultation, recording carries on and catches up when it's back.
- Templates
- Built-in templates, your own, or describe one and Cabinetic builds it for you.
- Letters and forms
- Referrals, medical certificates, ACC and PDF forms, written from the consultation and kept in step with the note.
- Follow-up tasks
- Tests to order and calls to make, picked out of the consultation into a task list.
- Patient history
- Profiles with medicines, allergies and conditions, and previous notes the scribe draws on.
- Deep check
- An AI check of every statement in the note against the transcript, for what it can't back up.
- Answers from your sources
- Clinical questions answered from the guidelines and websites you choose, with the passages it used.
- Learns your words
- A word library for the names it should hear, and snippets for the phrases you use most.
- Practice controls
- Roles, an audit log, rules for how long sessions are kept, and a local-only mode.
Localised for you
Cabinetic adapts to the country and community it works in. It follows a consultation that moves between languages, and writes the note in the language and spelling you choose.
Medicine names are checked against your country's formulary, starting with New Zealand's Pharmaceutical Schedule and its Special Authority criteria.

Privacy and safety
Every consultation is health information, and Cabinetic treats it that way.
- Encrypted
- In transit and at rest, and only the people in your practice can open your sessions.
- Never used for training, never shared
- Patient information is used to write and check your notes, and nothing else. It's never used to train AI models, never sold, and never shared.
- No retention
- Recordings are deleted once they're transcribed, and the AI models keep no copy of what they process. Notes are cleared from Cabinetic on a schedule you set, once they're in your practice system.
- You approve every note
- Consent is recorded for every consultation, and nothing is final until a clinician has reviewed it.
Prefer to keep everything on-site? Cabinetic can also run entirely on hardware inside your practice network, with a local-only mode that keeps patient data in the building.
